Shooting for Forever Friday and more

This summer, I had the opportunity of working with a brand for the Dreamers, Creators and Lovers of Fridays, by officially working with Morgan Jones and the wonderful legacy she is bringing to the world. A clothing brand, not only with cute and funny quotes to keep your days happy but a brand that is giving back to communities, foundations and charities nationwide. Forever Friday has a story unlike many other brands and is currently donating all proceeds to Anti-Bullying organizations to support their #HellaKind and #HeckaKind anti-bullying campaigns. This campaign really spoke to me personally, being a victim of bullying in middle school was really hard for me and affected me socially once I got into high school. I became very introverted when it came to going to school and I didn't really care to be noticed or talked to. Bullying is something that is often look passed but it is a very serious issues that can really affect a person's well-being. Although I am not an expert, if you or anyone you know is being bullied please contact Crisis Call Center 800-273-8255 or text ANSWER to 839863. They are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. And if you are a bully please stop and think before you speak, if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. The fact that Forever Friday is bringing it to the surface and making an impact on people world wide is something that means more to me than being able to model for a brand but to be apart of a movement of love, anti-bullying and respect.

In honor of #ThrowBackThursday, I wanted to share with you all my very first photoshoot with the photographer Alexander Ustin and designer Nelli Rosh. Let me start by saying this, Wow! It's incredible to look back at your work and to see how fast time flies.

I remember this day like it was yesterday; I was a junior in high school and 16 years old. I remember I got the call that I was casted for this photoshoot to work with Alexander Ustin and I was SO excited. I told my art teacher I had to use the restroom (sorry Mrs. Stiles!!!) and I obviously didn't but instead I called my mother. I said, "Mom, I have to go to this photoshoot! Please get me out of class early and pack my bag with my proper undergarments!" Of course, my mom got me out of class and she drove me to this photoshoot. I was the youngest model there but I took it very seriously. I was literally a half an hour early. Once everyone got to the location and we walked in, it was the most beautiful venue I had ever been to. I didn't expect it to be that beautiful inside based on the location of it.  My mom and brother(who was 11 at the time), stayed with me through hair and makeup and as the photoshoot began I remember my little brother was making fun of me the whole time until he realized, "oh sh*t! my sister is really serious about this"!  Let me remind you this was my very first professional photoshoot so I honestly had no idea what I was doing but I had watched enough #ProjectRunway, read enough magazines and practiced posing in my room since as long as I could remember waiting for this day to come. hahaha! I remember Alexander telling me what a great job I was doing and that was the best feeling in the world.

With that being said, till this day these are still two of my favorite photos of myself. Especially the one on the left. It was a day I will never forget and I will always be thankful for having the ability to share it with my biggest supporters, my mom and brother.

Although I'm no where near where I want to be I want you all to know to follow your dreams, big or small make them your reality!!

Xoxo,

G.G

I've known "Photographer Tom" since I was 16 years old. He took some of my very first head shots and quickly after meeting me he booked my first video shoot for DLRN's Fear and Loathing single. It was from that moment that Tom and I began to work together on many different modeling projects and since then we've become really close. Recently, he took these shots of me to update my modeling portfolio and what can I say?!?! He's just as amazing as the first time we worked together. I love his energy and effort that he puts into every shoot whether it's for a big or small campaign he always brings his best to shoot days. My hair and makeup was done by the lovely Jen Barrera, whom I've also had the ability to work with for a fashion show a few years back. I asked her for a light and natural look and that's exactly what she gave me along with the perfect effortless waves. I am truly honored to have such great talent in my inner circle and blessed for the opportunities to work with them for my own projects. I am so happy with the turn out of these shots and to be able to work with such fabulous individuals. Their instagrams are listed below.

With Love,

G.G
