This photoshoot was a lot of fun for Pilar and I. I really enjoyed the creative process behind it all; everything from putting together each look to finding the perfect location. This street style collaboration is a winter look book inspired by our mutual love for the trending monochrome fashion and the idea of a "California winter”.

New York's favorite latina, Jenny Spitz

Taking Queen B's territory on the steps of The Met

I had the best time shooting with Jennifer Vargas over the summer. We've known each other for many years and coincidentally we were in New York around the same time; we managed to catch some art exhibits while squeezing in a quick photoshoot at The Metropolitan Museum. Working with Jenny was so effortless and fun. I loved being able to have girl time while working on a project we are both so passionate about. Also, I felt so Blair Waldorf/Serena Van Der Woodsen on the famous steps of Gossip Girl.

Anyways, If you don't follow Jenny make sure you follow her on Instagram @jennyspitz.

With Love,

Gabrielle

Official Winter 14 Quick-strike Campaign

It's actually a funny story how this photoshoot for Official came about. I visiting Sacramento for TBD Fest and I had been in communication with Official's Creative Director Jason Peret for a couple weeks. At this point, we were talking about the possibility of me modeling for Official. And for those of you who aren't familiar, Official is a premier hat wear brand. They also have some of the dopest clothing by "All Good" their newest brand. I am currently obsessed with All Good. Anyways, I was super stoked and last minute during that weekend of TBD Fest I was able to squeeze in a photoshoot for their Quick-strike campaign. It was amazing what Official's team, Hagen(other model) and I were able to do in just one night of shooting in the streets of Sac. It's always a great time when the people I get to work with are just as passionate about their job as I am mine.

Photographer Alexander Ustin

In honor of #ThrowBackThursday, I wanted to share with you all my very first photoshoot with the photographer Alexander Ustin and designer Nelli Rosh. Let me start by saying this, Wow! It's incredible to look back at your work and to see how fast time flies.

I remember this day like it was yesterday; I was a junior in high school and 16 years old. I remember I got the call that I was casted for this photoshoot to work with Alexander Ustin and I was SO excited. I told my art teacher I had to use the restroom (sorry Mrs. Stiles!!!) and I obviously didn't but instead I called my mother. I said, "Mom, I have to go to this photoshoot! Please get me out of class early and pack my bag with my proper undergarments!" Of course, my mom got me out of class and she drove me to this photoshoot. I was the youngest model there but I took it very seriously. I was literally a half an hour early. Once everyone got to the location and we walked in, it was the most beautiful venue I had ever been to. I didn't expect it to be that beautiful inside based on the location of it.  My mom and brother(who was 11 at the time), stayed with me through hair and makeup and as the photoshoot began I remember my little brother was making fun of me the whole time until he realized, "oh sh*t! my sister is really serious about this"!  Let me remind you this was my very first professional photoshoot so I honestly had no idea what I was doing but I had watched enough #ProjectRunway, read enough magazines and practiced posing in my room since as long as I could remember waiting for this day to come. hahaha! I remember Alexander telling me what a great job I was doing and that was the best feeling in the world.

With that being said, till this day these are still two of my favorite photos of myself. Especially the one on the left. It was a day I will never forget and I will always be thankful for having the ability to share it with my biggest supporters, my mom and brother.

Although I'm no where near where I want to be I want you all to know to follow your dreams, big or small make them your reality!!

Xoxo,

G.G
