Growing up I wasn't allowed to wear much makeup but, mascara was always something I loved experimenting with and until this day I still do. Something about wearing mascara makes me feel so womanly and flirtatious. Today, I opened my Marc Jacobs Beauty Vox Box with the excitement of using their newest mascara- Velvet Noir. You know that saying, "lashes on FLEEK"?? Well, today was the first day in awhile I've felt that way about my lashes. Naturally I have longer lashes but not all mascaras accentuate them properly. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir did just that and some. The mascara wand did wonders by separating all of my lashes perfectly while creating the ultimate volume and thickness. The curved wand is what gets the hard-to-reach center lash line and this is what helps create that ultra volume. Velvet Noir created the illusion of falsies, I've never used a mascara like this. It was quite flattering. I recommend anyone with thin lashes or anyone who is just looking for a new mascara to try this one out. It could be used for an everyday at the office mascara or even a G.N.O instead of hassling with falsies! Get them LASHES ON FLEEK.

With Love,

Gabrielle

I'm constantly being asked if I'm wearing falsies and my answer is always no, my mascara is just really good! haha So, I decided to share my top 5 mascaras with you guys and hopefully you fall in love with one of these fabulous mascaras as much as I have!

The one thing I hate is clumpy mascara so when I'm shopping for a new mascara I look for one that will give me volume as though I am wearing falsies: providing separation and volume. If you have shorter lashes and they aren't very full then I think having the right mascara will make all difference. I like suggesting my friends and family to try using a lash primer before applying their mascara. This not only helps with priming your lashes before applying the mascara but it also maximizes your lashes and gives the perfect amount of volume. Almost every cosmetic brand carries a lash primer but, my two favorites are  Lancôme CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base and Dior Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum. My mother introduced me to Lancôme's lash base when I was in middle school and I've used it ever since. So, that will always be my first choice but, Dior Lash Serum is one of my newer favorites. It's a good investment especially for those nights out when you don't want to hassle with falsies you can just double up with the lash primer of your choice! Remember you should only coat your lashes about 2-3 times, anything more will make them look clumpy and that's the last thing you want your lashes to look like.

Mascara Tip: Always wiggle your mascara at the base of your lashes to make them look longer. If you don't start at the base they will look shorter than they are.
