New face masks and Beauty Blender tips
This past weekend I was in Sacramento for a work trip and I had the pleasure of visiting the famous Pinky Rose makeup studio downtown. I really loved the whole vibe of the studio and I was really impressed by how sweet and helpful all the ladies were. I love shopping places where people are genuine and helpful, I feel like it makes the shopping experience so much better! Anyways, some of you may know I'm not very big on wearing a lot of makeup but, I feel like I must go back and buy one of their contour kits. They seemed to be very popular so I feel like I need to give it a try.
Those of you that do know me...will know that I am a VERY big face mask junkie. So naturally, I managed to pick up a new face mask. Celeste, (one of the makeup artists at Pinky Rose) told me that all the girls at their studio swear by "My Sister's Secret" Green Tea Herb Mask so I had to try it for myself.
I also bought a new beauty blender because I was in desperate need of replacing my old one. You should be replacing your beauty blender at least every 3 months, depending on how often you use it and how you're taking care of it. I actually freaked out last week because I had broken out a little on my face and I automatically threw away my beauty blender saying, "your 3 months are up!" lol. You want to make sure you're cleaning it after every use because bacteria will grow if it is not properly cleaned. Remember not cleaning it will cause breakouts!!! I use to clean my beauty blender with face wash but recently I started using a little dab of olive oil and it did the trick. Dab the oil onto the areas with stains/dirt and squeeze. Add some warm water and just keep doing that until it's clean. I read about this on Pinterest and I've been very satisfied with the results.
If you're in the Sacramento area you should for sure check out Pinky Rose, especially if you're into Morphe brushes and tons of fun makeup! I hope my beauty blender tips will help you stay breakout free and make those 3 months last with your sponge!!
XOXO,
Gabrielle
