I arrived back in SF this morning at 8 am, went to class and straight to a photoshoot and back to class again. Most of my days are similar to this type of schedule but, with meetings and work in between. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day. lol! But, I have found that I'm the best version of me when I'm on the go and constantly working. It is stressful to be busy but, it's always worth it in the end for me. Not everyone is able to work this way and that is totally fine. You have to find what works best for you. If you're ever feeling stressed out because umm, finals are here! Or perhaps it's becoming harder for you to balance your work and home life. Just take a breather and remember why you're doing it. Ask yourself if it's worth it in the end. If it is then keep going and continue to strive for better. If it's not then maybe take a couple projects off your plate. Whatever you decide remind yourself it will all pay off in the end!!
Anyways, today's photoshoot was with my good friend Pilar for an upcoming project. (Follow her for more details @pilarsway) We shot with @Korvpt_sam who we met here in San Francisco earlier this year. Sam is super chill, extremely talented and just so happens to be in the works of designing his own custom denim jackets. After shooting for Pilar's project he asked me if I'd like to model for his first custom piece and well.... who would I be to turn that down?! lol. I threw on the jacket and let's just say...some magic happened!!
Whenever I'm done with a photoshoot I always get so hyped and I literally can not wait to see the pictures. It's honestly probably so annoying too but, I can't help it. *Kanye shrug* When I saw the first picture Sam posted on Instagram I freaked out! WOW! um. SO FREAKING GOOD!! This shoot is the definition of "dope" to me. It reminded me of all the cool street style Instagram kids (As corny as that may sound). I was so happy to see the final shots and it's always a great time when I get to work with vibrant, passionate people.
Art and street style have always influenced me and the both of them combined is pretty much what I live for. I'm really excited to see what else Sam has in store for his upcoming custom pieces. Follow him on Instagram if you're interested in a fresh custom denim jacket. Also, look out for Pilar's fun project on her website and on Instagram.
