Hey guys!
I just wanted to start off by saying how I really enjoy sharing my cooking sessions on Snapchat because I'm able to interact more with my friends and followers and bond through the art of cooking and eating. Being able to share some of those recipes exclusively on my website as well, excites me because I feel as though the recipes were good enough for everyone to see longer than a Snapchat lifetime. I was glad to have shared my process of making Turkey Sliders last night and to hear all the positive feed back. I am incredibly overjoyed with all the requests to share the entire recipe. So here it goes!
Ingredients:
1-2 Lbs of Lean Organic Ground Turkey
2 eggs
1 bunch of Parsley
1 Lemon
Garlic Powder
Black Pepper
Chili Powder
Ground Cumin
Oregano
Mrs. Dash Table Blend Seasoning
Salt
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350º
First you'll want to chop about a handful of Parsley leaves finely. Then, using a grater you will zest the lemon and later use the juice from that lemon to mix into your ground turkey(so don't throw away the lemon just yet lol) Once you zest your lemon and finely chop your parsley leaves you will mix all the ingredients into a large bowl with the ground turkey and spices. When it comes to the spices you can add how ever much you want. Turkey tends to be a little more bland so you can never go wrong with adding as much seasoning as you want. Don't forget to mix in the 2 eggs as well because that is what will hold your patty together.
Once all your ingredients are mixed together, you can now begin making your patties. I made my patties small enough to fit on Hawaiian Sweet rolls so they were about a palm's size.
Using a cookie sheet I made my patties and placed them all on the sheet (Keep in mind you can grill your patties or you can bake them as I did) then I placed them in the oven to cook for about 15-25 minutes. You don't want your patties to be too dry so just keep an eye on them!
Once they're done cooking I let them cool off a bit as I prepped my Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and fix ins. I used lettuce, tomatoes and avocados but, you can use whichever veggies you'd like.
Small but, filling, the Turkey Sliders were a hit at my house last night. They made the perfect light dinner with a side of salad topped with shredded carrots, almond slices and cranraises. They make a great appetizer for a small gathering or even a light dinner. lol We had family over last night so I was trying to think of something light and yummy we could all snack on while we chit chat away. lol
Enjoy!
